In 2013, prompted by the tragic loss of two sisters who loved to dance, Ballet Forest Grove created the Anna and Abby Dance Scholarship Fund to honor these young dancers.  The 2013 Nutcracker performances were dedicated to the girls and their family.  Funds raised from the performances, along with donations, allowed the scholarship fund to award $3,555 to the first group of scholarship recipients.

In 2016 the name of the Scholarship was changed to the Ballet Forest Grove Memorial Dance Scholarship to include and honor all of the young dancers who have left us too soon. Generous donations and dedicated fundraisers by Ballet Forest Grove have increased the scholarship fund, allowing the committee to award up to $10,000 annually to further the dance education of aspiring dancers.
